Property Highlights

Former Use: The former Saxtons River Mill property, adjacent to Saxtons River, has been vacant since the late 1950s. Sanborn maps since 1885 indicate that various mills have operated on the property. All that remains of the mill structures are remnants of stone foundations and some charred building debris mingled in the topsoil. Historical mapping (mid to late 1800s) shows a tannery that was located adjacent to the southeast corner of the property.
