Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property was originally developed in 1946 for the purpose of manufacturing trailers, which been the primary use of the Site. Based on a review of the 1957 historical aerial photograph four structures are depicted onsite. The 1968 Sanborn Fire Insurance Map depicts five buildings present onsite (a metal fabrication area, two offices and two warehouses. City directory records indicate that Travelmasters Inc. (trailer manufacturers) had occupied the 1241 N Nappanee St. property as early as 1964 and as late as 1970 when Scully Industries Inc. (trailer manufacturers) began occupying the Site. In 1976 By-Pass Auction took over the 1241 N Nappanee St. Site until Mobile Home Salvage Inc. occupied the location in 1982. By 1988, MHS Supply (mobile home parts sales) occupied the Site, but by 1994 MHS was no longer at the Site. In 2000, International Textiles (textile apparel service) was present on the Site. At the 1239 N Nappanee St location, Associated Sales (mobile home supplier) was present at the Site in 1970, but left prior to 1976, when the Site was listed as vacant. In 1982 the By-Pass Tavern was located on the Site and in 1988 Nappanee Street Tavern moved into the Site.
