Additional Property Attributes

The subject site is located south of the southwest corner of the intersection of 3rd Street and N. Neosho Street approximately 80 feet south of the intersection in Cherryvale, Montgomery County, Kansas. The property includes three adjacent commercial parcels. There is no specific property address and the properties are listed as 0 W 3rd with the Montgomery County Appraiser�s office. Parcel Identification Numbers (PINs) for the site are 063-102-09-0-30-23-002.01, 063-102-09-0-30-23-002.02, and 063-102-09-0-30-23-002.010. The property is geographically within the southwest � of the southwest � of Section 9, Township 32 South, Range 17 East, Montgomery County, Kansas.

Former Use: Based on review of the historical information collected during the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), the site was originally developed prior to 1890 and has been utilized as a grocery store, pool hall, undertaker business, electrical supply store, furniture repair shop, meat shop, produce shop and the Cherryvale Daily Journal printing shop. A battery shop was identified in city directories at 121 N. Neosho, east and up-gradient from the site. A filling station with two gasoline tanks was identified immediately north of the site in the 1928 and 1949 fire insurance maps. A garage was also identified north and west of the site on the 1928 and 1949 maps. A printing shop was shown east of the site on the 1911 map.
