Additional Property Attributes

The site was developed as a grain mill in the 1800s. The site has been idled for several years and the existing structures/silos are in poor condition. The site is located within a high visibility/traffic corridor for the Village of Lawrence. The Village is pursuing acquisition of the site. Potential redevelopment may include a year-round Farmers Market or Community Garden.

Former Use: The subject property is a 0.7 acre parcel developed with a grain mill, elevator, and small commercial building. The grain mill and elevator were constructed in the 1800s. Subsequent to grain mill operations the site was utilized for automotive, tractor, and boat parts retail. The most recent owner has been identiifed as Mr. Brooks.
