Parcel 4 is currently available for development, a developer was lined up for a project but recently decided to discontinue negotiations. TIF has been prepared for the entire property. The city is currently marketing parcel 4 for redevelopment. The city and state funded asbestos abatement for parcels, 1,2,3, and 8. The city funded demolition for parcels 1,2,3, and 8. (PPF attached to QR 4, 7/1/04-9/30/04)

Former Use: Prior to the 1967 fire, approximately 60 buildings were located on this property. In addition, a water tower and railroad tracks are found on the property. In 1997, a fire swept through the property destroying all, or part of, approximately 22 buildings. Past uses of the property include farm implement manufacturing, tire shredding, salvage operations. The current property owner is the City of Canton. Past owners include P&O Plow Works, International Harvester (a.k.a. International Truck & Engine), Canton Industrial Corporation, and CyberAmerica.
