Additional Property Attributes

The consultant conducted a Phase I ESA and UST Closure for three abandoned/orphaned USTs. The property formerly was utilized as a Sinclair Gas Station. Impacted soils were discovered during the UST Closure activities; a Tier I Evaluation for the State Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations (BUSTR) was conducted in addition to a limited Phase II ESA. The Tier I Evaluation and Limited Phase II ESA indicated there are three hot spots that require excavation and soils management. Detroit Shoreway Community Development Corporation secured financing for the remedial action. Today, the pocket park has been completed.

Former Use: The property was formerly occupied by a gas station. The applicant wants to redevelop the parcel into a pocket park (greenspace).
