Additional Property Attributes

The site is comprised of a residential home and the west portion of the neighboring commercial building. Both the commercial space and home had been vacant and neglected for over a decade. The prospective purchasers have plans to use the retail space as an art gallery to promote local, regional, and international artists. They also have plans to remodel the home and add additional retail space to the front of this property. The Phase I ESA revealed that the commercial building and a former accessory building were used as an auto repair shop from the late 1940's to the 1980's. An underground heating oil tank was also suspect on the residential portion due to the age of the house and no documentation of initial heat source. The Phase II site assessment did not reveal any contamination associated with past use. Since the investigation the property was purchased and plans are moving forward to transform this once vacant site into a neighborhood art gallery and retail store.

Former Use: The site operated as an auto repair shop from the 1940's to the 1980's. For the past decade the property has sat vacant.
