Additional Property Attributes

The Subject Property is situated in the southern portion of the City of Steubenville, Ohio and is surrounded by residential, commercial, and industrial properties. The topography of the Subject Property and vicinity slopes to the east towards the Ohio River located approximately 670 feet east of the Subject Property. Former Use: The property has been used for commercial purposes including a petroleum service station and oil warehouse on the eastern portion of the property and service automobile garage on the western portion of the property. The western portion of the property has been used for industrial purposes as a glassworks. Additionally, S. Lake Erie Avenue formally had a railroad overlying and intersected the eastern portion of the property. The eastern portion of the property was a fuel filling station from at least 1929 to 1961 and all operations ceased on the property by 2009. The current owner purchased the property as vacant in September 2010; the property has remained vacant since.
