Additional Property Attributes

The Phase I ESA allowed the City to purchase the commercial trucking business at 123 Stanley Court in 2011. The City sold the site to the Cedar Valley Food Bank as part of a development agreement to relocate its outdated facility to the City's emerging "Human Services Campus". The organization constructed a new, more accessible 6.5 million building on the site. The 45,000 square-foot facility features an efficient freezer and cooling area, a full-service kitchen, and a community room. The donation center has 200 member agencies and serves approximately 40,000 people from 16 different Iowa counties annually. The Cedar Valley Food Bank opened in the spring of 2013.

Former Use: The property contained a mixture of residential and commercial uses. Past commercial uses primarily consisted of various commercial trucking operations. Post Phase I ESA: The property now contains a new Cedar Valley Food Bank facility.
