Property Highlights

The City of Lexington is the process of funding cleanup and renovation activities for this site. Some funding has been allocated to begin this process.

Former Use: The Historic Fayette County Courthouse is approximately 55,000 square feet in size and was constructed between 1898 and 1900. The facility is no longer used as a courthouse. Most recently it housed the Lexington History Museum but was shuttered due to concerns about asbestos, lead paint, and mold.
