Additional Property Attributes

The KDHE conducted a Phase I Brownfields Targeted Assessment (BTA) at 100 North 5th Street in Salina, Kansas. The BTA was conducted for a local developer (with City support) who plans to redevelop the property with an indoor multi-use recreational facility and a corporate office complex for another local business. In addition, the Phase I assessment was necessary to fulfill the due diligence requirements for a pending property transaction. Based on the Phase I report, no �Recognized Environmental Conditions� (RECs) were identified in connection with the BTA property and the property is cleared for redevelopment. An Asbestos Building Survey was also conducted as an additional scope outside of the ASTM-1527-05 Phase I assessment. Asbestos containing material (ACM) was identified in the building and abatement will likely be required prior to renovation and/or demolition. The applicant will be advised to work with the KDHE Asbestos Control Section to comply with all Federal and State regulations with respect to the asbestos.
