Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Based on a review of available historical data, the subject property has been developed and used for residential purposes since as early as 1912. As early as 1965, the subject property also contained a jewelry and time repair shop. Such usage could indicate the former use and presence of such hazardous substances as cyanide, mercury, heavy metals, and tritium, a radioactive element often used for illumination in clocks and watches. The subject property dwelling appears to have been subdivided by 1969 for use as apartments. Most of the immediately adjacent and surrounding properties have been used historically for residential purposes, although surrounding properties have had a mixed commercial use history, including the following: religious and institutional uses, auto repair stores, garages, welding and machine shops, furniture and cabinet stores and various warehousing purposes. Parcels north and east of the subject property appear to have been converted from residential to institutional/parking lot usage by 2009.
