Additional Property Attributes

There was an existence of a dry cleaners on the southern adjacent property for nearly 40 years.The site is not identified on the LUST database and no evidence of (i.e., fill ports, vent pipes) of current underground storage tanks (USTs) or aboveground storage tanks (AST) was observed in the vicinity of the site parcel at the time of the site reconnaissance. The historical use of the southern adjacent property as adry cleaner for for nearly 40 years is a primary reason for considering the site for REC.

Former Use: The site is a vacant grass covered land located in an area characterized by residential and commercial use.It is currently unoccupied dating back to 1928, it consisted of two commercial retail shops from at least 1928 to approximately2000. From at least 2000 until 2005, the site was developed for residential use. In approximately 2005, the site was cleared and has remained vacant to the present day. The site is boarded to the north by Otis Place NW followed by residential development and the Fish in the neighborhood restuarant. To the East by residential develoment; to the south by a grocery store and deli and to the west by Georgia Ave NW followed by the EL Hayes Public Charter School. A dry cleaners was identified on the southern adjacent property from at least 1926 until approximately 1964
