Additional Property Attributes

Subject site presently contains open fields, towing business, city snow dump, BMX track, mobile home sales lot, and junk car lot. Located within an old channel of Salt Creek and Oak Creek, flow of which was historically into lake that was subsequently filled with solid waste between 1938 to the early 1950s. A previous Phase I ESA on this site (2006) substantiated the subject area's past use as a landfill.

Former Use: The subject site is comprised of four parcels. These parcels once contained a historic lake and flow channels from Salt Creek and Oak Creek. The historic lake and channels were subsequently filled with solid waste between 1938 through the early 1950s. By the late 1950s, the landfill was covered and used for grazing pasture and rye fields. Today, the subject site consists of pasture, wetland areas, and vacant mobile home buildings.
