Additional Property Attributes

The Old School House property had a former bus garage and a 12,000 gallon heating fuel underground storage tank. Surrounding former property uses include gasoline stations. The cost of the UST removal included the removal and disposal of soils containing TPH. The City is undecided about future use, but it will mostly likely be a mixed-use development and infrastructure improvements to address a congested intersection, provide safe pedestrian access to the city's center. The property is adjacent to the City's "square" and park. They plan to use a "complete streets" model to slow traffic and make the town center more walkable.

Former Use: Twinsburg school district owned and operated a school on the property from 1895 until it was sold to the city of Twinsburg in 1998. The city currently owns the property and rents the space to Kent State University for classroom space.
