Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property was formerly operated as Center Town Auto Body and is located immediately adjacent to the City of Ottawa's public work equipment garage. When the property was put up for sale, the City became interested and viewed the purchase as a means to expand their current public works yard. However, the past automotive repair operations operations became a concern and a Phase I was required in order for the City to qualify for the CERCLA landowner liability defenses. Although the RECs were identified, the City was able to evaluate their risk and potential exposure pathways to site occupants. The City moved forward with the purchase and the property is currently supporting public works operations.
