Property Highlights

Former gasoline station, underground storage tanks were removed in early 1990s and no further action status was granted in connection with the underground storage tank removal. The Watkins Washette was subsequently built atop the former underground storage tank bed. The Watkins Washette does not perform dry cleaning onsite. MDEQ issued No Further Action letter 5/18/2015.

Former Use: Property currently developed with two commercial buildings, U-Haul rental center and Watkins Washette. The Watkins Washette does not perform dry cleaning. The U-Haul building previously operated as a service station until the early 1990s. The gasoline underground storage tanks, dispensers, and piping were removed in the early 1990s and the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality granted no further action status in connection with the tank removal. The Watkins Washette was built in 2000 atop the former gasoline underground storage tank bed. Bobby H. Watkins and Tina O. Watkins purchased the property in 1998 and have owned the property since that time. The property was previously owned by Camilla Ray Brown.
