Additional Property Attributes

The past use of the Site as determined by a review of reasonably ascertainable historic information dating back to 1927 has consisted of vacant land to a developed exiting building which was constructed in 1957. The current and historical use of the eastern adjacent property as a dry cleaner and the location of the property within commercial developments is a crucial Recognized Environmental Condition (REC). Though numerous other listings were identified on the regulatory database for properties within the applicable ASTM-defined search distances, based on the distance, togragraphical relationship relative to the Site and/or regulatory case status, none of these offsite facilities identified by the regulatory database are considered an environmental concern to the site.

Former Use: This SIte is located approximately 100 feet west of the intersection of Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue NE and Division Ave., NE. The Site consists of one parcel of land which totals approximately 0.10 acres and is located in an area characterized by commercial use. It is currently unoccupied and consist of a vacant building and vegitation covered land. The Site is bordered to the north by Nannie Halen Burroughs Ave., NE followed by the National Center for Children and Families, a vacant building; to the east by a vacant building; to the south by a vacant building; and to the west by he Betty Brite Cleaners. It should be noted that the eastern adjacent property has operated as a dry cleaners from at least 1993 to the present while the past uses as determined by a review of reasonably historical information dating back to 1927 has consisted of vacant land from at least 1927 to approximately 1957 when the Site became developed with the existing Site building. The current owner of the Site is the Washington Metropolitan Commmunity Development Corporation while the current and historical use of the eastern adjaceent property is an REC.
