Property Highlights

Historical documentation indicates that the Property was largely undeveloped until circa 1920 when an industrial steel plant was constructed adjacent to the Property. The property was occupied by some of the steel making operations (e.g., lagoons), a farm, and agricultural fields since that time. The Property was split from the steel plant property in 2004 when Groffre Investments bought the Property. the Property was vacant land or farmland. A topsoil excavation area is located in the southwest comer of the Property. An active waste pump, abandoned lagoons, outfall facilities, and both monitoring and production water wells were observed on the Property. The surrounding area is comprised of vacant land, commercial buildings, residential property, and the City of Louisville Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), which are all located in the southwestern portion of the City of Louisville.
