Former Use: Number of Parcels and Acreage - One parcel containing 14.11 acres. Current Property Use - Unoccupied industrial property; no current business operations. Standard and other historical sources and interviews were able to document that the current building was constructed in 1917 as a meat processing and packing plant. Various small outbuildings associated with the former meat packing operations were constructed between 1917 and 1927. Between 1927 and 1949, the outbuildings were demolished and several additions were constructed onto the current building. Additionally, a boiler house and several warehouses were constructed during this time period. Between 1949 and 1966, the warehouses and boiler house were demolished, and a new boiler house, maintenance building, grease reclamation vat, cattle pen, and brick chimney were constructed. A lagoon was constructed in the southern portion of the property between 1950 and 1973. The current building was occupied by various meat processing and packaging businesses from 1917 until at least 1992. The building was vacant from 1992 until 1995, when it was converted for use as a warehouse. The building was used as a warehouse until 2009 and has been vacant since that time.
