Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: One parcel containing 0.72 acres. The subject property was initially developed prior to 1892 with a residential dwelling, a shed, a lumber shed. These structures were demolished in stages between 1892 and 1902. A warehouse building and a lumber shed were constructed between 1892 and 1897. A cooper shop was constructed in the northwestern portion of the property, a flour mill was constructed in the northeastern portion of the property, and a grain elevator was constructed in the east-central portion of the property between 1897 and 1902. The warehouse building located in the southwestern portion of the property was demolished and a building containing a coal-fired boiler was constructed in the central portion of the property between 1902 and 1907. The lumber shed located in the south-central portion of the property was converted to a hay house between 1907 and 1912. The cooper shop, the hay house, and the boiler building were demolished, an engine room was constructed onto the southern portion of the flour mill, a corn crib was constructed in the southeastern portion of the property, a gasoline underground storage tank (UST) was installed in the northwestern portion of the property, and an oil above ground storage tank (AST) was installed in the southwestern portion of the property between 1912 and 1927. The flour mill, grain elevator, and corn crib were demolished, and the UST and AST were removed between 1927 and 1949. A junk building and grain loader were constructed in the northeastern portion of the property when the property was converted to a salvage yard between 1927 and 1949. The junk building and grain loader were demolished between 1950 and 1966. The salvage yard was removed by at least 1992, and the property has consisted of vacant land since that time. The site entered the State Remediation Program in 1999 when impacted soil was excavated and removed from the site. A No Further Action was granted in 1999.
