The subject property is now a vacated 1.61-acre lot with three buildings onsite. The site is currently up for sale. The site previously served as a equipment rental facility. The railroad runs directly to the west of the site. Historic research uncovered the northern part of the property was a historic fuel station. The streets and parcel information had changed over time, making pinpointing the location difficult. The environmental unknowns were inhibiting the potential sale of the property. This property is located on the entrance road into Ellensburg and is a prime piece of commercial real estate.

Former Use: This site was a Lazy T Drive-In restaurant in 1963, an A&W Root Beer Drive-In restaurant from 1969 through 1980, and Peterson Equipment Company in 1999, which rented and sold farm equipment (no repairs). There also may have been a gas station at the north end of the property known as Mountain View Shell Service Station located at 1001 Canyon Road. The Shell Service Station site possibly was located at the corner of Mountain View and South Main Street according to Polk Directories in 1963. The property is currently unoccupied with three onsite buildings surrounded by concrete pads.
