The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) conducted a Phase I Brownfields Targeted Assessment (BTA) at 700 Cherokee in Oskaloosa, Kansas. The BTA was completed for the Jefferson County Memorial Hospital Foundation, Not-for-Profit organization, who intends to assist with renovation of the current Hickory Pointe Care & Rehabilitation Center long term care facility and also add an assisted living facility. The USDA is financing the renovation and redevelopment. Based on the Phase I report, no �Recognized Environmental Conditions� (RECs) were identified in connection with the BTA property, and the property is cleared for redevelopment.

Former Use: 1885-1927 residential.1951-1979 possibly a School. 1999 to current Hickory Pointe Care & Rehabilitation Center.
