Additional Property Attributes

The Former Marsh Valley Hospital is being redeveloped into residential apartments. There is a plan to reuse unique tiles that are on the walls in the two operating rooms. Other materials throughout the hospital are to be reused during the remodeling process as well.

Former Use: The Former Marsh Valley Hospital was constructed in 1949 to serve as the Marsh Valley area primary hospital. The hospital closed in 1979. The property was leased out to varying types of medical businesses until 2005. Bannock County acquired the property via tax deed foreclosure in 2011. The Idaho Brownfields Program provided a Phase I ESA for Bannock County and a report was submitted on August 7, 2012. The Phase I identified RECs for potential ACM and lead based paint. Sampling confirmed the presence of ACM and paint containing lead.
