Additional Property Attributes

This property was a former abandoned gas station. City acquired property and used some EPA Brownfields Assessment funds to conduct a Phase I ESA. Our state DEEP completed a Phase II ESA. City obtained a Brownfields Grant from our state DECD and began abatement and demolition of the former building which had PCB caulking throughout. Also removed gas tanks with DECD funds, but used EPA funds to do soil investigations. City in 2014 recieved another DECD Brownfields Grant for the cleanup of soil and groundwater impacted with gasoline.

Former Use: site operated as gasoline station and auto repair from 1924 to 2008. site was abandoned and City acquired in 2011. Phase I and II site assessments have been conducted. Tanks have been removed, building abated and demolished. City has recieved 350K Brownfields Cleanup Grant from state for this property. Slated for redevelopment with 5,000 sqft mixed use building.
