Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The site was developed in 1954 with the construction of a brick, 2-story building, with commercial/professional office space on the 1st floor, and 3 apartments on the 2nd floor. From 1986-2011 the primary occupant was a pizza parlor. The property has since been closed and sits in a dilapidated condition. Due to the outdated building structure present, and with questions about asbestos that might be present, private development interest has waned. The Neighborhood Development Corporation (NDC), a local non-profit, seeks to acquire the site, demolish the building, and build a new, small-scale commercial building with 2-3 retail bays. As costs for AAI and asbestos inspection/removal are of concern, 128(a) funds are being used to assist NDC with AAI and ACM inspection costs. They can then determine budgets for ACM removal, building demolition, and site redevelopment.
