Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: According to the Village of Turtle Lake the Subject Property was historically operated as a creamery from the 1930s until it closed in the early 1980s. The Subject Property was used for manufacturing baby diapers for approximately 2 years before Robert Prosser purchased the property and began operating A-M Telephone Company, which included acquiring used telephones in bulk quantities and selling them to individual users. In 1991 a fire that broke out in the former creamery building burned approximately 325,000 plastic telephones and related equipment. The fire left much of the central portion of the former creamery building without a roof. Following Mr. Prossers death in 1993, the property was abandoned.
