Additional Property Attributes

The site is the potential new location of the Kittitas County Shop. Previous uses include pallet manufacturing. The majority of the site is covered with large piles of recycling and miscellaneous refuse material, sawdust/woodchips berms, and glass. Small walkways differentiate the various piles of refuse material. Several storage containers and temporary outbuildings were onsite that also contained refuse materials. Kittitas County currently owns the site. There are several buildings on site and various temporary storage structures, although none are properly permitted. According to the Kittitas County Planning and Zoning Office, the subject property is zoned light commercial with an airport overlay. The strategy is to spur light industrial and commercial development within this area near the airport with the County Shop serving as an anchor.

Former Use: Kittitas County currently owns the subject property. There are no occupants living at the site. The county leased the property to Cascade Pallet from 1998 through 2011. There are several buildings on site and various temporary storage structures, although none are properly permitted. The site is currently being used as a recycling facility.
