Additional Property Attributes

Building burnt down and was completely demolished in 2016. Building materials were removed from the site using an asbestos abatement contractor. EPA funding was not used for the clean up.

Former Use: This site has a long history of being vacant (since 2003), which has created slum and blight in the neighborhood, along with a long background of criminal activity and vandalism. The property has been an eyesore within the community on account of an aging, dilapidated and un-maintained building on the site. The City is making efforts to revitalize and improve the economic vitality of downtown and the NNU district. History- Mercy Hospital constructed in 1919.
