Additional Property Attributes

The target property was operated as Gulf City Seafood from 1961-2005. Prior to 1961, the property was reportedly used as a saw mill. Gulf City Seafood facilities were damaged during hurricane Katrina in 2005, and many of the fishing vessels maintained by the facility were lost in the storm. In September through October 2000, a Phase I/Limited Phase II was conducted, while the facility was in operation. In addition to the standard Phase I ESA Scope of Work, multiple soil borings were advanced on the property to sample soil and groundwater. The Phase I ESA identified multiple areas of concern that were investigated with soil borings. Higher than recommended concentrations of copper were found in the sandblasting area at that time as well.
