Additional Property Attributes

(1) Northern portion of the property was a working lumberyard for at least 48 years and a grain elevator for unspecified amount of time; lumberyards also east and southeast of property. Railroad also operated on northern boundary of property and chain-of-title records identify historical use of the site as railroad land. Typical activities in these land use types could have initiated release of arsenic, PAHs, creosote, lead, oil, diesel, solvents, herbicides, metals, fumigants, and pesticides. (2) In close proximity is a former manufactured gas plant (5th and Market St), which may have released BTEX, PAHs and cyanide. (3) A mercury switch and fluorescent lamps were observed on site, which indicates actual/likely presence of mercury on site.

Former Use: Property has historically been used as a lumberyard, railroad land, grain elevator, and a bar/restaurant.
