Additional Property Attributes

The property is currently a vacant former cabinet factory. Large piles of construction debris including brick and block were observed in the boiler room. Arsenic was detected in the soil at concentrations exceeding the IDEM RCG screening levels. The property is expected to be part of the River Centre Development Project with new construction and renovation to be completed in 2018.

Former Use: The property is currently a vacant former cabinet factory. Multiple factories including the Friedman and Scheirich�s Planing Mill, Geo and Joe Friedman�s Planing Mill, Schaaf & Schnaus Lumber Company, and Jasper Cabinet Company were identified on the property from 1886 to 1958. An oil house was depicted on the southwest portion of the property in 1909.
