Additional Property Attributes

The East Parcel property is a key property in the regional Brooke-Hancock Brownfields Redevelopment Program and is also part of a multi-parcel cluster in the City of Follansbee. The other parcels, all of which are in close proximity to each other, include the Follansbee Recreation Complex and Follansbee Ball Fields. A portion of this property has already been sold to a major chain drug store, which is anticipated to open in fall 2006. After an evaluation of approximately 40 properties, this property has been identified by economic and real estate experts as a priority redevelopment property for the region. (PPF - East Parcel, 3/20/06) This property has been sold and redeveloped as a Rite Aid Drug Store (PPF - East Parcel (G3DBNY00), 10/29/07)

Former Use: Undeveloped with open grassy and wooded areas. A drive-in theater was formerly located on the property. Oil wells may have previously been located on the property. Previously owned by the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation.
