Additional Property Attributes

The Site was developed with a textile mill in the earliest historical resource reviewed, a 1925 Sanborn Map. At that time, the Site contained cotton warehouses, spinning, carding, and dyeing operations. Ancillary operations included a transformer house, an engine/boiler room, and associated outbuildings and storage sheds. These operations began in the late 1800s according to the National Register of Historic Places and operations remained similar until the late 1990s when the textile mill was closed. The Site buildings were leased for warehousing operations and as a flea market from the early 2000s until 2011. Demolition of the Site buildings, except one partial
warehouse building, began in 2011-2012. The Site is currently vacant.
