Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Standard and other historical sources were able to document that the first developed use of the subject property occurred prior to 1954 with a small shed on the southwestern portion. By 1975, the southwestern portion was cleared for development with the shed remaining. Between 1975 and 1985, the property was developed with a storage barn, a storage shed, and concrete bunker (formerly associated with sawmill activities) on the southwestern portion, and logging trails were cleared on the northern and eastern portions of the property. A storm water pond was constructed on the southwestern portion by 1997. A large warehouse building was constructed in 2005 on the southwestern portion to the east of the lumber yard to complete the current layout. The property was occupied by Kimball Hardwoods, Inc. from the 1950s until the 1980s; Cranberry Hardwoods from the 1980s to the 1990s; Lafayette Manufacturing Saw Mill from 1995 until 2000; and Indiana Hardwood from 2003 until 2008. The property was vacant from approximately 2009 until 2013. The property has been occupied by Clark Lumber as a buying yard and lumber storage since 2013.
