Additional Property Attributes

The subject property was operated historically by the Eaton Rapids Public School District as �Northwestern Elementary School�. The school building was constructed in 1959 with renovations/additions in 1966 and 1996. The 42,000 square foot school building was closed in 2011 and the property is currently vacant. Prior to 1959 the property reportedly contained residential dwellings. Asbestos containing building and insulating materials (ACM) are present within the subject building; however, the current condition of the ACM is unknown. A Phase I ESA has identified concerns with historical heating source(s), possible PCBs and Asbestos. A prospective purchaser, intends to acquire and renovate the former 42,000 square foot school building into a 20-bed senior and assisted living center including 8 - 10 commercial units. This project is currently on hold.
