Additional Property Attributes

The City seeks to obtain the property and demolish the building to encourage site redevelopment interest. Concerns with the potential extent of asbestos materials present in the building, and costs therein for abatement, prompted the City to ask for DNR 128(a) assistance with evaluating asbestos before the City commits to further environmental due diligence and property acquisition.

Former Use: The property and building have functioned as bar and grill for the last decade or more. A September of 2013 fire within the building resulted in extensive damage, and the business closed. the building has since sat vacant.
