Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The Property consisted of approximately 2.83 acres of land developed with a former grain elevator operation. The northern portion of the Property was developed with an approximately 7,840 square-foot equipment storage building and two interconnected office buildings totaling approximately 7,800 square feet. The southern portion of the Property was developed with an approximately 8,200 square-foot storage building, seven grain silos, a grain dryer, two drive-in grain loading dock areas, a shed, and two concrete pads (one for corn storage and one formerly used for an above-ground fertilizer storage tank). The remainder of the Property consisted of paved, gravel-covered, and landscaped areas. The property was first developed in the late-1800s. The northern portion of the Property was historically used for manufacturing operations, lumber storage, railroad, and grain elevator uses. The southern portion of the Property was historically used for a variety of uses including a power company, pipe shop, hardware warehouse, building material sales, coal and lime storage, railroad use, and a grain elevator. The Property has been historically operated by the St. Johns Manufacturing Company, John Hicks Steam Power Elevator, J.F. Parr Elevator, St. Johns Table Company, Michigan Wagon Manufacturing Company, St. Johns Agricultural Association, Saint Johns Co-Op Co., Countrymark Inc., Caledonia Farmers Elevator, Michigan Graphics & Signs and Victoria Food Distribution.
