Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The subject property is a residence located at 1627 North Main Street, in Sheridan, Wyoming. The subject property is legally described as: Atkinson Addition Block 6, Lot 6 (S50� x 140�). The subject property is located in the Southeast � of the Northeast � of Section 22, Township 56 North, Range 84 West, in the City of Sheridan, Sheridan County, Wyoming. The subject property contains two deteriorated residences at 1627 and 1627 � North Main Street. The home at 1627 was built in 1919, possibly earlier, and was improved upon with an addition and a detached garage with a carport in 1957. The original floor area was 670 square feet and the addition in 1957 added another 1100 square feet to the house, including a basement. The detached garage is 450 square feet and the car port is 378 square feet. The subject property is in an industrial area with a gas station, a car wash, a former automotive shop, and a rail yard in the vicinity. The 55-gallon drums labeled for methanol and other unknown substance containers that were stored near the edge of the subject property suggest that Buggy Bath Car Wash has poor chemical storage practices, and this is considered to be a REC. The observed containers were under conditions that pose a material threat of a future release to the subject property with the absence of secondary containment. Mr. Lytle stated that they (Buggy Bath Car Wash) have stored large volume containers of chemicals in a similar way, as observed during the site visit, for as long as he has lived at the subject property. The subject property is not in the VRP program.
