Additional Property Attributes

This building was constructed 20-40 years ago during a period when ACM and LBP were commonly used. Renovation for re-occupancy is not a viable scenario. Future development is severely inhibited by concern that financial impact of pre-demolition inspection and abatement in accordance with application Federal and Tribal regulations will forestall redevelopment. This site was retained by CCT to complete a hazardous building material inspection. Inspection included observation, testing, and sampling for ACM, LCM, LEC. A visual assessment of mold and animal remnants with potential to pose a biological concern during potential building renovation activities. All tasks were completed by accredited and/or certified professionals.

Former Use: The Boise Hotel was not in use and appeared to have been vacant for some time at the time of inspection. The Boise Hotel is a two-story wooden structure, it has 8 rooms, 2 restrooms, a kitchen, and a basement area accessible through the east entrance. Characteristic exterior building component included wooden walls, wooden window trim, and an asphaltic shingle roof. Interior components include wooden floor, wall, and ceiling joists, gypsum wallboard wall and ceiling materials, pressed cellulose wallboard wall and ceiling materials, vinyl flooring materials, and wood doors/cabinets/trim and stairs. The property was in poor condition at the time of the inspection with the backdoor lying on the ground near the entrance, stairs to the basement deteriorated beyond use, deteriorated paint throughout the interior and exterior. A small colony of bats was observed to be present within the interior of the structure at the time of the inspection.
