Additional Property Attributes

The property is currently privately owned. There is one building on the property that covers a majority of the site. The upstairs is currently used for motorcycle storage. The ground floor is being used for recreational restoration of automobiles. An ESA Phase I was reported on in May 2016 by Terracon. They recommend "conducting a subsurface investigation at the site to determine if the identified RECs have impacted subsurface media." Identified RECs include historical use and presence of paints, thinners and cleaning chemicals.

Former Use: Based on available historical records, the site appears to have been developed prior to 1885 with several structures used for wagon storage, a water spring building, a blacksmith and carpentry shop, and a wheelwright and paint shop until the mid-1910s. The site was utilized as a garage/auto body shop from at least 1919 to 2003 and expanded to its current footprint by 1925. Available documentation indicates a gasoline tank was present at the site along Spring Street from at least 1925 to 1950. Since 2003, the site has been primarily utilized for storage purposes, recreational automotive restoration and as a small scale commercial painting operation. The current site owner is listed as Joshua King. Assessors records indicate Mr. King purchased the site on July 6, 2006.
