Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The subject property has been developed since before 1884 and has historically been occupied by railroad tracks, residential and commercial buildings, and a lumber yard, saw mill and stone yard. The subject property was developed with various buildings including dwellings, hotels, boarding houses, tenements, saloons, offices, blacksmith shops, stores, storehouse, sheds, ice house, hospital, salvation army, barber shops, book binder, and lumber shed calaboose/lock up between 1884 and 1951. The property was previously owned by the Canadian National Railroad, which donated the property to the City of Ashland (including the Ore Dock).
