Additional Property Attributes

An Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) survey completed in May 2016 confirmed the presence of asbestos in building materials in a former residential structure on site. All ACM was removed in September 2016 and the structure passed a visual inspection conducted by a certified inspector. Following asbestos removal, the structure was used for a control burn exercise by the Springfield Volunteer Fire Department, followed by arson investigation exercises by the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office. Local leveraged funds were used to remove the septic tank and electrical wires before the exercise and to cleanup the building debris afterward.

Former Use: Former residence now owned by Sarpy County Municipal Solid Waste Landfill. Following the controlled burn exercise, the property will be utilized by either the Transfer Station Operator or Sarpy County for possible storage of equipment.
