Property Highlights

The property's building was constructed in 1837 as a private school, the Peterborough Academy, and continued in that use until 1889. The building was subsequently leased to the Town for public meetings and in 1899 was gifted to the Town for use as a park and memorial building and was used as the G.A.R. Hall, a meeting place for Civil War and WWI veterans. The building remains vacant since 2012.

Former Use: The Site is located at 40 Grove Street in Peterborough, NH. The Site was the location of the Grand Army of the Republic (G.A.R.) hall. The original portion of the Site building was reportedly constructed in 1837, and an addition section was added in 1913. The Site was purchased in May 2017 by Post and Beam Brewing in 2017 and after going through some renovation will open in fall/winter of 2017.
