Property Highlights

The site was developed as an opera house in approximately 1913. By 1920s the building was remodeled into 3-stories and used for commercial purposes and offices. The east addition and a basement of the building were used as apartments. Currently, the 1st floor is occupied by commercial businesses. The 2nd and 3rd floors have been vacant since at least 1970s, but will likely be made into apartments. No RECs identified,asbestos and lead based paint survey recommended.

Former Use: The building is located on a corner in downtown Scottsbluff. The site was developed as an opera house in approximately 1913. By 1920s the building was remodeled into 3-stories and used for commercial purposes and offices. The east addition and a basement of the building were used as apartments. Currently, the 1st floor is occupied by commercial businesses. The 2nd and 3rd floors have been vacant since at least 1970s, but will likely be made into apartments. Building was owned since 2012 and until recently by Donna R. Hessler, Trustee of the Donna Hessler Living Trust. Previous site owners include: Chapter III Enterprises Inc. (1996), C & B Enterprises Inc.(1988), William and Gerald Tallmon (1981), Glen and Opal Helm (1966), and Vincent and Agnes Flynn (1939).
