S&ME conducted GeoProbe soil and groundwater sampling on the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Machinery Maintenance & Rebuilders, Inc. - Phase I ESA Greenville, SC 1 F&R Project # 65U-0073 06/27/2016 Property in October of 2004 (S&ME Project 1264-04-155). Five (5) boring locations were sampled for soil contamination. Laboratory analysis identified Acetone and four (4) PAH compounds in soil collected from six (6) feet below the surface within the former UST basin and Tetrachloroethene (PCE) was detected in groundwater at 5.1 micrograms per Liter at the boring location adjacent to a concrete pad associated with the storage building located in the southern portion of the Property.

Former Use: The Property consists of a 1.953-acre irregular-shaped parcel developed with an approximately 40,000 square-foot structure situated within an urban land use area of Greenville. The Property was historically developed with residential dwellings. Portions of the current facility were constructed as the Borden Ice Cream manufacturing facility in the 1950s, with additions added in later years. The facility currently includes a five (5) section building, loading docks, associated parking, driveway, and lawn areas, and a detached storage building.
