Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The site has been developed with a 3,978-square-foot building, parking and utilities. The on-site building is occupied by Roses Rose Creative Floral and Gifting gift shop and The Bing Bang Studio hair, makeup and tattoo salon. Based on a review of the historical information, the site was developed with a residential building and associated parking garage from at least 1919 until the 1950s, when the residential building and associated parking garage building were demolished and the site was redeveloped with the current building and associated parking area. The building was historically occupied by the following tenants: Acceptance Corporation of Florida (1955, 1960, 1964), TV Cable Cocoa Rocklege Merritt Island (1971, 1976), Architects In Associates (1992), Holiday Times storage and Holiday Times gift store (1986), Village Printing (1999, 2003, 2008), The Photique (2013), Orlando Sentinel-Star newspaper branch office (1960) and Kris Kringle Corner (1992). The adjoining and adjacent properties were historically used as residential and various commercial properties. Review of the historical Sanborn Maps identified an Auto Sales & Service facility with associated fueling station and paint spraying building formerly operated on the southwest-adjacent and up-gradient property in the 1950s. Potential unreported discharges associated with the auto repair, fueling and painting operations at the former Auto Sales & Service facility represent a recognized environmental condition (REC). Additionally, arsenical-herbicide application may have occurred at the railroad historically operated adjoining to the west of the site from at least 1919 until the 1950s and residual arsenic may remain in soils surrounding the railroad, which represent a REC
