Additional Property Attributes

This is a parcel of a former Tank Farm. The entire (roughly 25) acre site is planned for redevelopment. The ESA I reported three RECs. 1. Impacted groundwater from Coastal Austin Terminal Release. 2. Vapors from Impacted Groundwater and 3. Past release of Petroleum Products to site soils. Because of these RECs, it was determined that a Soil Vapor Study was conducted. The study was completed on 6/8/17 and shows.that the soil vapor pathway is complete. Future redevelopment should remediate the impact to protect workers and future inhabitants. The Fusebox (Nonprofit) that was scheduled to purchase was not able to raise the funds. The study will help any future purchaser to plan and design a vapor mitigation system.

Former Use: Property Description/History/Past Ownership: The property was formerly part of a 90 acre tank farm. The tank farm was owned by 6 separate oil companies and had many release over several decades. The residents and schools nearby were concerned for their health and an environmental movement in Austin was started just to combat these companies. 30 years later the property has been cleaned up, with institutional controls for contaminated groundwater, and the property has been subdivided and sold several times. This section is Land Use Area 5.
