Property Highlights

The property was historically used for the manufacturing of fuses, capacitors, transformers, and gauges between 1959-1975. This was before the ban of PCBs in 1977; therefore, a Phase II Environmental Site Assessment was conducted to test the underlying soils for PCBs. All soil samples tested were non-detect for PCBs. An asbestos containing materials survey conducted at the site confirmed the presence of asbestos in floor tile and dry wall patches. Asbestos abatement was recommended prior to building demolition. All asbestos-containing materials were properly removed and disposed of in July 2019. The site is ready for redevelopment. Former Use: The property has been used as an implement dealer, a dancehall, a roller rink, and was historically used for the manufacturing of fuses, capacitors, and gauges between 1959-1975. The building most recently was used for storage and for a beauty salon on the first floor.
