Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The site is a former shopping center and was a mix of vacant and occupied commercial space (Dollar General and China Buffet). Also, included on the site was a restaurant (Pizza Roma), ice vending machine and Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union drive-up ATM. The site has been in the Askins family for approximately 50 years. Mr. Askins indicated that he and his father�s business built the majority of the current day structures on the property in the late 1960�s and early 1970�s. Mr. Askins stated that they have maintained and leased the buildings since their construction. Various occupants have utilized the structures including, Belk, Wal-Mart, Maxway, Piggly Wiggly, Dollar General, Pizza Roma, Santee Electric, Lake City Cleaners, China Buffett, etc. Mr. Askins indicated that a building on parcel: 80007-02-039 was constructed for Santee Electric and utilized as office space. According to Mr. Askins this building was later utilized by Lake City Cleaners and Laundry Service; however, it was only a drop-off and no drycleaning was performed at this . The clothes were taken to nearby Kingstree, SC for cleaning.
